Sheffield Wednesday failed to score for the eighth Sky Bet Championship home game this season as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Birmingham.

Jacques Maghoma had the best chance for the home side, who have now found the net just seven times in their 14 league matches at Hillsborough, while Blues winger David Cotterill went closest for Gary Rowett's resurgent side.

Feeney struck in only the second minute when he pounced on a loose ball inside the area after Jacques Maghoma was dispossessed and slotted past keeper Keiren Westwood.

Bolton's David Wheater then had a shot blocked following a corner before the hosts had their first effort of note.

Sheffield Wednesday triumphed 2-0 to claim their first win at the City Ground since 2001 and pile yet more pressure on beleaguered Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce.

Owls boss Stuart Gray is close friends with Pearce and his assistant Steve Wigley, but he did them no favours as goals from Kieran Lee and Chris Maguire, either side of half time, earned the visitors a simple win.

With Forest now having won just two of their last 20 games in all competitions, Pearce is under increasing pressure,...
