Gus Poyet believes the Chinese Super League rule that limits the number of foreign players may prevent John Terry's potential transfer.

Carlos Tevez was signed by Shanghai Shenhua from Boca Juniors.

Gustavo Poyet has said that the presence of Carlos Tevez has helped to boost the Chinese Super League (CSL) in a big South American market that is essential for the growth of Chinese football.

The 32-year-old was signed by Shenhua from Boca Juniors for €11 million in January and has struggled thus far, playing in only five of the club's opening eight games and scoring just one goal.

Despite the growing rumours that Tevez will quit the (CSL) and return to Argentina, Poyet insists that just...

Shanghai Shenhua make lucrative offer to sign Chelsea's John Terry - sources

Antonio Conte reveals he finally feels relaxed given Chelsea's advantageous position to capture the Premier League title.

Chelsea defender John Terry is weighing up a move to China with Shanghai Shenhua, sources have told ESPN FC.

Terry is leaving Chelsea at the end of the season after 22 years when his contract expires. He has found himself playing a bit-part role this season after coach Antonio Conte implemented a successful three-man defence consisting of David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta early in the campaign.

He has made 12 appearances in all competitions, with just four of those coming as a starter...

Another Guarin free kick was fumbled by Zeng on the stroke...

Shanghai Shenhua-Shandong Luneng postponed after Hongkou Stadium fire

Hongkou Stadium was damaged by a fire last month.

Shanghai Shenhua's Chinese Super League clash with Shandong Luneng, which was scheduled to be played this weekend, has been postponed due to ongoing repair work at Hongkou Stadium.

The venue was damaged in a fire in late March and the CSL has delayed the meeting between the two teams until Sept. 19 to allow repairs to be carried out on the stadium's electrical circuits.

The security bureau in Hongkou announced last month that there were no casualties and that the fire had been extinguished, while...
