Sheffield United will be without captain Chris Basham for their home clash with Scunthorpe.

Basham was shown a straight red card just before half-time in the 2-1 defeat at Port Vale and begins his three-game suspension.

On-loan defender Paddy McCarthy is set to feature for the last time before returning to Crystal Palace.

Blades boss Nigel Clough could again be without Ryan Flynn (hamstring), Craig Alcock (back), Ben Davies (foot) and James Wallace (groin/hamstring).

Scunthorpe are hopeful Luke Williams...

A late goal from leading scorer Paddy Madden fired Scunthorpe to a 2-1 home win against Rochdale in a game that burst into life after a goalless first half.

It gave the Iron back-to-back victories at Glanford Park for the first time this season and stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Neither side offered much threat in a dull first half. It was Rochdale who had the only effort of note when Tomasz Cywka tested goalkeeper Sam Slocombe with a snap-shot from the edge of the box.

Scunthorpe's teenage substitute Hakeeb Adelakun snatched a deserved point for his side with a stoppage-time goal in a 1-1 draw at Bradford.

There were fewer than two minutes of the four minutes of stoppage time West Midlands referee Philip Gibbs had added on when a long diagonal ball found Adelakun unmarked on the right and his angled shot sneaked in at the far post.

Bradford went in front after 32 minutes with a goal from defender Rory McArdle. Billy Clarke crossed for Filipe Morais, whose shot was...

Scunthorpe goalkeeper Sam Slocombe, center, is congratulated by winning penalty taker Miguel Llera, right, as their squad eliminated Worcester City from the FA Cup.

Miguel Llera's spot-kick brought an end to non-league Worcester's FA Cup run in extraordinary fashion as Scunthorpe won their second-round replay 14-13 on penalties.

The Spaniard had a chance to win it before the sudden-death spot-kicks but saw his effort saved by Nathan Vaughan. He held his nerve on the 32nd penalty of the match to knock out the Conference North side, who had held the Iron to a 1-1 scoreline after extra-time.

As had been the case in their first encounter, Worcester had come from...

A late goal from centre-back Miguel Llera helped Scunthorpe to a 2-1 victory against bottom club Crewe.

It was the Iron's first home win in seven games and lifted them out of the bottom four for the first time this season.

They got off to an encouraging start with a goal after just 10 minutes. Striker Luke Williams, on loan from Middlesbrough, applied the finishing touch after Paddy Madden had won possession on the right touch line to create the chance.

Madden himself then went close with a snap-shot,...
