Leon Goretzka not leaving Schalke this summer - sporting executive Heidel

Leon Goretzka joined Schalke from Bochum in 2013.

Schalke sporting executive Christian Heidel says he cannot currently see "a scenario" which would lead to the club agreeing to a summer sale of Leon Goretzka.

Goretzka, 22, is under contract at Schalke until 2018 but has yet to agree an extension, meaning this summer could be the last chance for the Bundesliga club to cash in on their player.

The Germany international has been linked with Bayern Munich in recent weeks, though the Bavarian side's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said at the weekend that...

Weston McKennie makes Schalke debut to set Bundesliga U.S. record

Herculez Gomez and Mark Donaldson delve into why American players find homes in the Bundesliga more so than other leagues in Europe.

Schalke youngster Weston McKennie became the ninth U.S. player to feature in the Bundesliga this season -- a record number -- when he made his first-team debut in a 1-1 draw at Ingolstadt on Saturday.

McKennie was brought on for the final 13 minutes as a 10-man Schalke held on for a point against their relegated opponents.

The midfielder, 18 -- whose participation in the German under-19 championship had made him unavailable for selection for the U.S. U20 World Cup squad -- had only been promoted...

United States youth internationals Haji Wright and Weston McKennie have been promoted to Schalke 04's first team squad for their final match of the Bundesliga season on Saturday.

Wright, 19, and McKennie, 18,  will travel with the first-team squad for the game at already-relegated Ingolstadt, with the 19-year-old Luke Hemmerich also making the trip.

"They are an alternative for the match day squad," head coach Markus Weinzierl told his prematch news conference.

Schalke announce supermarket sleeve badge sponsor worth €20 million

Schalke have some interesting plans for the future.

Schalke have announced an online supermarket as their new sleeve badge sponsor in a four-year deal worth €20 million.

From the 2017-18 season on, Bundesliga clubs can market their sleeve badge individually instead of one corporate sponsor for all 36 teams of Germany's upper two tiers.

On Wednesday, Schalke announced they've struck a deal with Deutsche Post-owned online supermarket allyouneed. Local paper WAZ reported that it secures the Bundesliga side an annual payment of €5m plus...

Arsenal to sign Schalke's Sead Kolasinac on free transfer - source

Arsene Wenger feels Arsenal can qualify for the Champions League next season if they beat last season's point tally.
Arsene Wenger praises Arsenal's emphatic win over Stoke, and the quality possessed by star man Alexis Sanchez.
A four-goal barrage sealed an away win for Arsenal and inched the club closer to fourth place in the table.

Arsenal have won the race to sign Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac, with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international set to join on a free transfer on July 1, a source confirmed to ESPN FC.

The deal was first reported by Sky Sports.

Kolasinac had been choosing between Arsenal and AC Milan, with Everton reportedly also interested in the defender. But a club source said Arsenal are confident the signing will be completed when the player's contract with Schalke expires on June 30.

The 23-year-old gives...
