Schalke boss will fight to keep Juventus target Julian Draxler

Juventus will have to find another replacement for Arturo Vidal; Schalke 04's manager confirmed the winger will remain at the club.

Schalke coach Andre Breitenreiter says he would fight to keep Juventus target Julian Draxler at the club but told Bild there are no guarantees if a "brutal offer" comes in.

Draxler's agent indicated last month that the midfielder had agreed to join Juve, but the two clubs were some distance apart in their valuation of the 21-year-old and, after the Italian side made an opening offer reported to be worth just €15 million up front, Schalke ended talks over a potential sale

Schalke reject a bid for Julian Draxler from Juventus, despite the midfielder having agreed terms with the Italian club

Arsenal are unlikely to pursue a move for Schalke and Germany star Julian Draxler this summer, sources have told ESPN FC.

Reports in Germany said Arsenal were in pole position to sign Draxler after Juventus saw their overtures for the attacker rejected by Schalke.

Schalke rejected a reported £15.6 million offer from Juventus for the midfielder on Monday after weeks of talks between the two clubs.

Schalke's promising midfielder Julian Draxler could be on his way to Juventus, a move that Dan Thomas contends is a great fit.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has not ruled out making an improved bid for Julian Draxler, despite Schalke having said they will not hold any further discussions over the player.

Juve had been given permission to talk to Draxler before submitting a bid to his club, and the 21-year-old's agent had indicated that the player had agreed to move to Turin

However, Juve's opening bid for the Germany international -- reported in Bild to have been worth just €15 million up front -- appears...

Schalke reject bid for Julian Draxler, shut door on talks with Juventus

Julian Draxler will stay with Schalke after Juventus' bid came up short.

Schalke have rejected a bid from Juventus for Julian Draxler and said they do not intend to entertain any more offers from the Italian champions.

Juventus and Draxler had already agreed on terms, leaving only the two clubs needing to agree on a fee for the Germany international to join compatriot Sami Khedira in Turin.

Juve presented that offer to Schalke on Monday, but the Gelsenkirchen club's sporting director rejected it out of hand.

"I can confirm that we received an offer late this afternoon...

Schalke still waiting for Juventus to make official bid for Julian Draxler

Schalke's promising midfielder Julian Draxler could be on his way to Juventus, a move that Dan Thomas contends is a great fit.

Julian Draxler's future remains unresolved with Schalke insisting they have yet to receive a bid for the player from Juventus.

Last week, Schalke gave Juventus permission to discuss personal terms with Draxler, but insisted there was no agreement over a transfer fee.

Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt told kicker on Monday that the position remains unchanged. He said: "Until now, we have neither received an enquiry nor a bid."

With the kickoff to the new Bundesliga season just over a fortnight...
