After knocking off Dallas, the Earthquakes may be rumbling again

The San Jose Earthquakes are the first team to hand FC Dallas a loss of the 2017 season, doing so on the road.

Five years ago, the San Jose Earthquakes were the story of the league -- if not a cartoon of the league.

Toronto FC wins club-record sixth straight; Chicago trounces Seattle

Tosaint Ricketts' header proved the winner as Toronto outlasted Minnesota in a back-and-forth goal frenzy.

Tosaint Ricketts turned in a Jozy Altidore cross to help Toronto FC hold off Minnesota United 3-2 for a club-record sixth straight win on Saturday.

Altidore, who only came on as a substitute for the injured Sebastian Giovinco, bullied his way through the expansion club's defenders before delivering for Ricketts to head in the winning goal in the 77th minute.

Kevin Molino scored both of Minnesota's goals to twice erase Toronto's lead, but United could not find a third answer at MLS-leading Toronto.
