Tottenham rally to win in Cyprus

Roberto Soldado celebrates scoring Tottenham's equaliser on Thursday against AEL Limassol.

Tottenham came from behind to take a 2-1 win in the first leg of their Europa League qualifying play-off against AEL Limassol.

The hosts took a 14th minute lead through Adrian Sardinero and it held until 16 minutes from time, when Roberto Soldado levelled for the Londoners.

Harry Kane then struck the winner with 10 minutes to go.

Spartak Moscow will replace FC Rostov

Russian Cup winners FC Rostov have been excluded from next season's Europa League for financial problems and Spartak Moscow will take their place, the Russian Football Union says.

Rostov qualified for Europe for the first time since 2000 with a surprise cup triumph. The football union blocked the club from taking the European place because it said Rostov had breached domestic licensing rules.
