Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters begins trial at Roda JC

The ESPN FC panel discuss if Tottenham are the real deal when it comes to being a top team in the English Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Kyle Walker-Peters has joined Eredivisie club Roda JC on trial in what looks to be the first move in a mooted partnership between the two clubs.

Walker-Peters, 18, will join Roda at a training camp in Portugal with a view to a loan move. The defender, who signed a new Spurs contract until 2018 last month, is a regular for the club's under-21s and featured in a post-season tour of Malaysia and Australia.

ADO Den Haag striker Mike Havenaar struck a first-half equaliser, but his side had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at 10-man Roda JC.

Havenaar fired home first time in the 41st minute after being set up by Giovanni Korte to cancel out Tom van Hyfte's close-range finish for the home side in the 11th minute.

ESPN FC's Mark Donaldson addresses the recent reports of Michael Laudrup being in the mix for the recently vacated head coach position for the Mexico national team.

The Dutch first division has traditionally been kind to Mexican players. From Hector Moreno's early days in AZ Alkmaar, to Carlos Salcido and Francisco "Maza" Rodriguez at PSV and now Andres Guardado (PSV) and Jesus "Tecatito" Corona (Twente), it has been by far the best destination in Europe for Mexican footballing exports.
