A late goal from leading scorer Paddy Madden fired Scunthorpe to a 2-1 home win against Rochdale in a game that burst into life after a goalless first half.

It gave the Iron back-to-back victories at Glanford Park for the first time this season and stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Neither side offered much threat in a dull first half. It was Rochdale who had the only effort of note when Tomasz Cywka tested goalkeeper Sam Slocombe with a snap-shot from the edge of the box.

Notts County rescued a point at Rochdale with a controversial leveller to make it 2-2 in injury-time.

Garry Thompson scored from close range in the fifth minute of added time with goalkeeper Josh Lillis injured on the floor and the Rochdale players having stopped playing for what they believed was a free-kick. But referee Scott Mathieson insisted the goal stood and the points were shared.

The home side were dealt an early blow when goalkeeper Conrad Logan turned his ankle just four minutes in and had...

Matty Done's hat-trick saw off Aldershot and secured an FA Cup third-round home tie against Nottingham Forest as Rochdale enjoyed a 4-1 replay win.

After holding Keith Hill's League One promotion hopefuls to a goalless draw at the Recreation Ground nine days earlier, the Shots proved tough opponents once again and the final scoreline was harsh on Andy Scott's men.

The tie was heading for extra-time when the visitors levelled in the 71st minute through substitute Dan Fitchett. But late goals from Peter...

Rochdale cruised to their first away win since October after comfortably winning 4-1 at sorry Colchester.

Dale bossed the first half and took a 26th-minute lead through Matthew Lund, who scored after U's goalkeeper Sam Walker had parried away Michael Rose's free-kick.

The visitors doubled their lead three minutes later when Peter Vincenti converted after Walker had once again only pushed away Matt Done's shot from the edge of the area.

After Walker had denied Henderson, whose header struck the crossbar...

Conrad Logan spared Rochdale's blushes after his string of fine saves held Conference Premier side Aldershot to a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup second round.

Rochdale, who are eighth in League One, struggled for fluency early on but created the first half's best chance on 15 minutes as Phil Smith raced off his line to deny Calvin Andrew.

Aldershot did have their fair share of possession, however, and two Dan Holman chances shortly before half-time gave them cause for optimism.

His first effort was saved by...
