Marseille return 'would really please' River Plate midfielder Lucho Gonzalez

Lucho Gonzalez won the title with Marseille in 2010.

Veteran River Plate midfielder Lucho Gonzalez has said he would love to return to Marseille.

Gonzalez, a key part of the French club's last league-winning team in 2010, was sold to Porto in January 2012 before moving back to Argentina three years later.

"It's something that would really please my family and I," the 35-year-old told La Provence when asked about the prospect of rejoining Marseille.

Everton are looking to sign Leandro Rodriguez, left.

LIVERPOOL -- Uruguayan striker Leandro Rodriguez is on course to becoming an Everton player, manager Roberto Martinez says.

Martinez is looking to complete a deal to bring the Rodriguez, 22, to Goodison Park from Montevideo-based Club Atletico River Plate.

The Everton boss is also optimistic that the club will complete the signing of centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori from the Argentine club River Plate.
