FC Dallas crush Houston Dynamo in Major League Soccer's Texas Derby

FC Dallas win the Texas derby led by red-hot Fabian Castillo who provided a goal and two assists.
San Jose scored both goals of this 1-1 draw with Victor Bernardez providing a 71st-minute own-goal that made it 1-1 and Chris Wondolowski's controversial goal.

Fabian Castillo had a goal and two assists as FC Dallas beat the Houston Dynamo 4-1 on Friday night in the Texas Derby.

Dallas moved into first place in the Western Conference and will host Houston on June 26 and Oct. 4. The teams will play multiple regular-season games for the first time since 2011 because of the league's offseason realignment.

Real Salt Lake defender Chris Schuler has knee surgery, out 4-6 weeks

Chris Schuler has been sidelined by another knee injury.

Real Salt Lake center-back Chris Schuler will miss be sidelined for 4-6 weeks after having surgery on his right knee.

Schuler tore his meniscus during warm-ups before RSL's defeat to the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday and had surgery on Monday.

Schuler is one of RSL's top defenders but has suffered a number of injuries during his career, including facial fractures and chronic foot problems. He also had an unrelated knee problem earlier this month.
