Wright-Phillips sets MLS fastest hat trick record as Red Bulls beat Toronto

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored the fastest hat-trick in MLS history to crush Toronto FC in an Eastern Conference clash.

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored the fastest hat trick in MLS history in the New York Red Bulls' 3-0 win over  Toronto FC on Saturday.

Wright-Phillips scored all three goals inside the first half-hour for New York, who followed up last week's 7-0 trouncing of NYCFC to move into second place in the Eastern Conference.

He opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a header following Sacha Kljestan's free kick. Kljestan earned another assist in the 25th minute when he played through Wright-Phillips...

An absolute shellacking of NYCFC from their intra-city rivals, with Bradley Wright-Phillips and Dax McCarty each bagging a brace.

Bradley Wright-Phillips and Dax McCarty each scored twice and the New York Red Bulls routed New York City FC 7-0 on Saturday to tie the MLS record for largest margin of victory.

McCarty put away a header into the top-right corner, off a corner from Sacha Kjelstan, in the third minute, and Wright-Phillips added two goals -- the second coming on a bicycle kick in stoppage time -- as the Red Bulls (4-7-1) took a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Those nine points were a big part of the Red Bulls' eventual run to the Supporters' Shield as the old hand, an original MLS franchise, showed the newcomers that whatever rivalry they might have...

Sporting Kansas City rallies to beat Orlando City; NYCFC fell Portland

Sporting Kansas City had to come from behind, but their dominant attacking display earned the host three points against Orlando City.

Substitute Jacob Peterson scored on a diving header in the 79th minute and Sporting Kansas City beat Orlando City 2-1 on Sunday.

Peterson's goal came on a cross from Roger Espinoza from the right corner. Sporting KC dominated play with 34 shots, 13 on target. The victory broke a seven-game winless stretch.

Despite being outplayed, Orlando City scored first. On a corner kick in the 67th minute, Cyle Larin headed it from the far post back into the goal box. After a scramble, the ball ricocheted off...
