Memphis Depay celebrates after giving Lyon the lead in Leipzig.

Lyon forwards Memphis Depay and Martin Terrier made the most of dreadful defensive errors to score in a 2-0 Champions League win at RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

The visitors took the lead in the 11th minute when Leipzig's Ibrahima Konate gave the ball away cheaply in his own half to Houssem Aouar, and his pass found Depay, who slotted it under keeper Peter Gulacsi.

The 23-year-old finished off a neat Leipzig move to break the deadlock in the 69th minute after Nordi Mukiele threaded the ball into the area, where Yussuf Poulsen laid it off for Werner to drive a low shot into the far corner.

RB Leipzig came from a goal down to snatch a 1-1 draw against champions Bayern Munich on Saturday to remain top of the Bundesliga, a point ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Bayern, who host Red Star Belgrade in their Champions League group opener next week, got off to a perfect start when Robert Lewandowski struck in the third minute for his seventh goal of the campaign.

Yet despite more than 75% possession in the first half the Bavarians failed to make their dominance count as the hosts...

RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner scored a hat-trick to give the visitors a 3-1 win at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Friday and provisionally put them top of the Bundesliga with three wins from three games.

Werner, who last week signed a contract extension with the Bulls, shook off Matthias Ginter and weaved the ball through the legs of keeper Yann Sommer for the opener in the 38th minute.

The 23-year-old Germany international, who has now scored five times in Leipzig's three league games so far, grabbed...

UCL draw: Real Madrid to face PSG in Group A

Alejandro Moreno and Ross Dyer rank Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool in terms of who got the hardest group draw in the UEFA Champions League.
James Rodriguez seemed frozen out at Real Madrid, but after starting their last match, does the Colombian have a place in Zinedine Zidane's squad?

Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain, while defending champions Liverpool have been paired with Napoli, Salzburg and Genk in the Champions League group stage this season.

Thirteen-time champions Madrid eliminated the Parisians in the round of 16 in the 2017-18 edition of the competition and have been linked to PSG's biggest stars -- Neymar and Kylian Mbappe -- in recent years.
