It was handshakes all round for Rangers as Andy Halliday returned from suspension to fire the winner in a narrow 1-0 win over Raith Rovers at Stark's Park.

The 25-year-old slotted home the only goal of the game in Fife late in the first half as the Light Blues maintained their eight-point lead at the top of the Ladbrokes Championship.

But Halliday took no chances with his celebrations after last week's controversial sending off at Morton.

He was handed a harsh second yellow card for aiming a fist pump...

Raith have Lewis Toshney available after a hamstring injury for the visit of Queen of the South.

Mark Stewart is a doubt, while Craig Barr (groin), Jason Thomson (back) and Lewis Vaughan (knee) all remain out.

The Kirkcaldy side have added Leicester striker Harry Panayiotou on loan and he will be involved at some stage if international clearance is received in time.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "We have been really unlucky in front of goal recently and that has to change for us at some stage. Hopefully...

Raith halted a three-match losing streak as they played out a goalless draw against Dumbarton in the Championship match at Stark's Park.

The home side began to dominate midway through the first half and were unfortunate not to take the lead after a couple of chances from Mark Stewart and James Craigen.

Gregor Buchanan headed wide and Jamie Lindsay's shot was off target at the other end as the visitors responded.

Summer signing Kevin Cawley came closest to breaking the deadlock on the brink of half-time...

St Mirren will include new signing Rocco Quinn in their squad for the home game against Raith.

Midfielder Quinn has arrived from Ross County and the midfielder is expected to feature as Alex Rae's side look to secure their first home league win of the season.

Alan Gow is set to return after an ankle injury, but Jim Goodwin's ankle problem keeps him out and Jason Naismith is still sidelined with a knee issue.

Rae said: "I watched Raith on Tuesday night and I thought they were unlucky to lose to Alloa.

"They...

Iain Flannigan's late penalty gave Ladbrokes Championship bottom-side Alloa a 1-0 win at Raith.

Iain Davidson fouled Flannigan in the area with four minutes left and the midfielder sent Kevin Cuthbert the wrong way to earn his side their second successive away win and only their third league victory of the campaign.

Raith, who have now won just one of their last nine league games, should have taken the lead in the first half but Mitch Megginson headed wide from debutant Louis Longridge's cross.

Alloa...
