Simon Murray bagged a brace as 10-man Arbroath came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Queen's Park in their Scottish League One semi-final first leg at Gayfield.

The opening exchanges created little in the way of clear-cut chances before Queen's went ahead when Bryan Wharton climbed highest to head home Sean Burns' corner in the 18th minute.

And things got worse for the hosts when Kieran McWalter was dismissed for a two-footed challenge on Burns.

The Spiders made the extra man count in the...

Queen's Park will go into the play-offs without a win in three matches after finishing off the regular season with a 2-0 defeat at Clyde.

Goals in each half from Steven McDougall and Brian McQueen saw the Bully Wee end the campaign with back-to-back victories.

Scott Durie and Mark McLaughlin had efforts just off target early on before Durie again went close with a header that sailed narrowly over the crossbar after half an hour.

The breakthrough arrived four minutes later when, following a Billy Robb...

Queen's Park maintained their eight-point advantage over third-placed Arbroath with a 1-1 draw at home to East Stirling.

East Stirling midfielder Luke Donnelly hit the woodwork from a tight angle in the opening stages and Pat Slattery was only inches away from heading in the opener for Queen's Park in a lively start.

The home side opened the scoring in the 28th when Ciaran McElroy cheekily nutmegged Jon Tully to set up Slattery and he fired home.

Queen's Park should have doubled their advantage shortly...

A late Sean Burns goal was not enough to keep Queen's Park in the Scottish League Two title race.

Burns came up with a fine long-range strike in stoppage time to secure a 1-1 draw at Arbroath.

But Albion's win at Clyde secured promotion and the title, condemning Queen's Park to the play-offs.

Simon Murray had put Arbroath into the lead after 25 minutes when he tucked in a cross from Kieran McWalter.

They were denied a second when visiting goalkeeper Willie Muir kept out Robert Linn's free-kick.

Queen's Park kept the title race alive in Scottish League Two by beating Annan 2-0 at Hampden Park.

The Spiders won for the first time in four games to close the gap to leaders Albion to five points with three games left.

Two goals in eight first-half minutes saw off Annan, who are now six points off a play-off place.

Paul Woods was fouled near the edge of the area in the 37th minute and Sean Burns stuck the resulting free-kick in the top corner of Alex Mitchell's goal.

And on the stroke of half-time...
