Elgin remained top of Ladbrokes League Two after holding Queen's Park to a 0-0 draw at Hampden Park.

City, who have now gone two league games without a win following a six-match unbeaten run, remained two points clear of East Fife, who lost a two-goal lead to draw with Montrose.

Queen's Park remain third, five points behind Elgin after drawing their third successive game, but had the chances to win the contest.

Berwick are without suspended skipper Jonny Fairbairn for their clash with Queen's Park, while expectant father Darren Lavery could also miss out.

But Berwick will be able to call on new signing Sandy Cunningham, who joined the club on loan from Stirling Albion until the end of the season on Friday.

Manager John Coughlin said: "We performed well at Elgin last weekend, however we never got anything to show for it as we did not threaten them enough. We are a side that lacks goals and hopefully the moves...

Queen's Park launch public appeal to find Harry the Hoopo's missing head

It's not the kind of classified advert you stumble across every day, but Scottish lower league side Queen's Park have launched an appeal in a desperate attempt to reunite a hippopotamus with its freshly detached head.

Specifically, Queen's Park are hoping to track down the head of their long-serving mascot, Harry the Hoopo, after it was recently taken from the club pavilion.

Nicknamed The Spiders, the League Two side posted the plea on Twitter while confirming that, while the hunt is ongoing, as...

Queen's Park lost ground on League Two leaders Elgin as they were held to a goalless stalemate against Stirling at Forthbank Stadium.

Willie Robertson did well to block Craig McLeish's early shot on goal as the visitors looked to take the lead after seven minutes and Stirling lost the former to injury just after the break when he was replaced by Aurelien Mazel.

Down at the other end, Mark Lamont sent his curling effort wide of the mark, while Queen's Park goalkeeper William Muir thwarted Darren Smith....

Scottish League Two title hopefuls Queen's Park dropped two points after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to 10-man strugglers Montrose.

Second-placed Queen's dominated the first half and did everything but score, with a John Carter header and Paul Woods shot both rattling the crossbar.

They had an even better opportunity when David Galt was brought down in the area by Andrew Steeves but Jordan Millar saved Woods' penalty and Carter put the rebound wide.

They were punished in the 42nd minute when Montrose...
