Ruud van Nistelrooy to join PSV Eindhoven coaching staff

Ruud van Nistelrooy has been working as assistant to Netherlands boss Danny Blind.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will join the coaching staff at PSV Eindhoven from next season.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Van Nistelrooy will coach the strikers in the club's under-17, U19 and reserve teams, the Eredivisie side announced in a statement.

The 39-year-old will leave his position as an assistant to Netherlands boss Danny Blind.

"I'm really looking forward to my new job at PSV, where I'm going to help the young attackers maximise their potential," he said.

Andres Guardado to miss PSV Champions League clash vs. Atletico

PSV move top of the Dutch Eredivise with victory at De Graafschap.

PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday confirmed that Mexico international Andres Guardado will be out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury and will miss the Dutch Eredivisie club's first Champions League Round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder was forced to come off in the second half of a 4-2 home victory against De Graafschap last weekend.

Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has joined PSV Eindhoven until the end of the season after cutting short his loan spell at Stoke City, the Premier League champions have confirmed.
