Plymouth Argyle held on for a gritty 1-1 draw at fellow promotion-chasers Luton.

The hosts had gone ahead after just eight minutes when Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu clipped the ball over the top for Danny Hylton to control on his chest superbly and beat Luke McCormick for his 19th of the season.

Mpanzu saw his long range attempt saved by McCormick, before Argyle drew level on 26 minutes when Graham Carey's low cross was turned home by Craig Tanner.

Yann Songo'o's header was comfortable for Matt Macey, while...

Matty Kennedy's wonder-strike rescued a point for promotion-chasing Plymouth in their 1-1 Sky Bet League Two draw at Hartlepool.

Kennedy curled home from outside the area with 14 minutes remaining to cancel out Rhys Oates' strike as second-placed Argyle, three points off leaders Doncaster going into the game, took a share of the spoils.

Plymouth began like a side pushing for the title, with Ryan Taylor and Jake Jervis testing young goalkeeper Joe Fryer in the opening exchanges.

Yet Pools grew into the...

Leyton Orient's Liam Kelly gets six-game ban for pushing ball boy

Leyton Orient midfielder Liam Kelly has been banned for six matches for pushing a ball boy during Tuesday night's Sky Bet League Two clash with Plymouth.

The Football Association charged Kelly with violent conduct on Thursday after he shoved 17-year-old Plymouth ball boy Jake McLean to the ground while attempting to retrieve the ball during his side's win at Home Park, in an incident not seen by the match officials.

Kelly denied the charge but the FA announced on Friday evening that an independent...

In-form striker Graham Massey scored an 88th-minute leveller and set up Sandro Semedo's stoppage-time winner as Leyton Orient won 3-2 at second-placed Plymouth Argyle in League Two.

Antoni Sarcevic fired Argyle into a 10th-minute lead from close range after target man Ryan Taylor nodded down left-back Gary Sawyer's deep far-post cross.

Argyle suffered a 15th-minute injury blow when central defender Sonny Bradley hobbled off.

Sarcevic later hobbled off with an ankle injury - on 37 minutes - and within...

Promotion-chasing Plymouth ended Exeter's seven-match winning run in Sky Bet League Two with a 3-0 victory at Home Park.

The Devon derby changed in a minute after Exeter's Jake Taylor saw a volley from eight yards fly inches wide.

Almost immediately Plymouth playmaker Graham Carey sent a pass through to on-loan Cardiff winger Matty Kennedy who beat Christy Pym and put Argyle 1-0 up.

Pym could do little to prevent the ball beating him then but he made a fine diving save to palm away Ryan Taylor's goal-bound...
