Mark Cooper made a triumphant return to London Road as Swindon completed a hat-trick of wins over fellow League One promotion rivals by beating Peterborough 2-1.

The Swindon chief, sacked after just 13 games as Posh boss in 2010, saw his current side follow up successes over Preston and Bristol City with another big three points.

Andy Williams fired them ahead with a low finish off the inside of a post when converting a Harry Toffolo cut-back in the 33rd minute and the Robins doubled their advantage...

Both teams had penalty claims turned down in the last two minutes as Walsall and Peterborough fought out a 0-0 draw at the Banks's Stadium.

In the 88th minute Ricardo Santos, the Posh central defender, appeared to handle the ball in the box, then Saddlers full-back Ben Purkiss seemed to do the same at the other end following a throw in, but referee Andy Woolmer ignored both claims.

Walsall had more of the play, but without their injured top-scorer Tom Bradshaw they lacked a player who could finish...

Christian Burgess headed in a stoppage-time winner as Peterborough came from behind to beat League Two Carlisle 2-1.

Burgess struck late in both halves to cancel out Derek Asamoah's third goal in four matches for his new side.

Carlisle, with three defeats in their last four matches, took the lead on eight minutes thanks to a defensive mix-up.

Posh's Michael Bostwick headed the ball towards his own goal, but team-mates Ricardo Santos stood still and Michael Smith failed to clear, allowing Asamoah to...

Mark Robins celebrated his first victory as Scunthorpe boss as the Iron heaped the pressure on Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson with a 2-1 win at London Road.

Robins' men climbed off the bottom of the League One standings while their hosts tumbled out of the play-off places after a third successive defeat.

Loanee Luke Williams fired Scunthorpe ahead with his first goal since making a temporary switch from Middlesbrough.

The teenager wriggled through a couple of weak defensive challenges before prodding...

Coventry produced a spirited second-half fightback to beat Peterborough 3-2 at the Ricoh Arena.

Despite a promising start by City, Peterborough went in at the break two goals to the good.

Marcus Maddison put the ball on a plate for Jon Taylor 17 minutes into the game and the latter passed the ball into the net to put Posh ahead.

Taylor was fouled in the 27th minute and Maddison hit a dipping free-kick from 25 yards that moved in the air to leave goalkeeper Lee Burge red-faced.

The home team looked down...
