Macclesfield boss John Askey has a fully-fit squad to choose from for the FA Cup clash with Oxford on Friday night.

Veteran midfielder Richie Wellens signed for the Vanarama National League side on Wednesday but featured for Salford in a previous round so will not be in contention.

The Silkmen will hope to cause another upset after seeing off Oxford's League One rivals Walsall in round one.

Macclesfield's first priority, meanwhile, will be to complete a match having seen their last two league outings...

Scunthorpe set a new club record of 22 home games without defeat but they did not do it in the style which has seen them sweep to the top of League One after being held to a 1-1 draw by a spirited Oxford.

Winger Duane Holmes had headed them ahead in the 35th minute with his third goal of the season.

He found himself in the box to meet a right wing cross from Josh Morris and tuck his header just inside the far post.

It came just after Oxford had threatened to snatch the lead when Chris Maguire fired...

Marvin Johnson marked his return to Oxford's side by scoring his first goal for the club as they beat Gillingham 1-0 at the Kassam Stadium.

It was a second successive victory for the U's after Saturday's 4-1 crushing of Coventry, a match Johnson missed because his partner was giving birth.

Johnson finished off a pacey run and neat one-two with Kane Hemmings by drilling home a low left-footed shot on 32 minutes.

It extended the Gills' run of games without a clean sheet to 24.

Oxford United ended a run of four league games without a win with a scintillating first-half performance as they crushed Coventry 4-1.

Striker Kane Hemmings scored one and made one, and he might have had a hat-trick, as Sky Blues keeper Lee Burge had to work overtime to keep the total down.

Hemmings fired the U's in front on seven minutes, a simple side-footed finish from 18 yards after a mix-up from Coventry's centre-backs.

Burge had made two smart stops even before then.

The keeper showed good reactions...

Shrewsbury climbed off the bottom of League One with a 2-0 win against Oxford as Paul Hurst's impressive start as manager continued.

AJ Leitch-Smith and substitute Shaun Whalley scored the goals to earn Shrewsbury a first league win since September 3.

Oxford created the game's first chance but Chris Maguire's 20-yard shot was comfortably gathered by goalkeeper Mark Halstead.

Shrewsbury moved ahead in the 19th minute as Leitch-Smith scored his fourth goal in his past three league and cup games.
