Second-half goals from Chey Dunkley, Chris Maguire and Callum O'Dowda earned Oxford a 3-0 win over Wycombe to clinch promotion to Sky Bet League One in front of a sell-out crowd.

Defender Dunkley slammed home a header from Maguire's corner to break the deadlock in the 53rd minute and after Kemar Roofe was shoved over in the box by Aaron Pierre, Maguire coolly sent goalkeeper Ryan Allsop the wrong way from the penalty spot after 72 minutes.

Substitute O'Dowda dribbled past two defenders and fired home...

Oxford's quest for a Sky Bet League Two automatic-promotion place will go down to the final day of the season despite beating Carlisle 2-0.

Goals from Chris Maguire and Liam Sercombe kept Oxford in third place, but Bristol Rovers' win at York kept them a point behind with one match remaining.

Oxford, who host Wycombe next week, were handed a dream start when Carlisle gave away a penalty in the fourth minute after Luke Joyce fouled Maguire in the area as the U's player was shaping to shoot. Maguire...

Kemar Roofe smashed his 26th goal of the season to help Oxford beat Hartlepool 2-0 and stay third in the scramble for an automatic-promotion place in Sky Bet League Two.

Roofe, who was this week named League Two player of the year, gave the U's just the start they wanted to ease their nerves by firing home first-time from 10 yards in the seventh minute when Liam Sercombe's drive came back off the bar.

And Sercombe sealed the points in the third minute of stoppage time by running past three defenders...

Man United paid more than £10 million in agents' fees over winter

ESPN FC's Shaka Hislop says not to get too carried away with Manchester United's positive performance against Palace.

Manchester United have spent more money on agent and intermediaries' fees between October and February this season than any other club in the Premier League, paying out over £10 million.

Figures published by the Football Association show United paid £3.35m more than Liverpool -- the club with the second highest outlay in the division.

Promotion-chasing Oxford were held to a 1-1 draw at Newport.

Jordan Bowery had given the U's an early lead after being called into the starting XI as a late replacement after Kemar Roofe was injured in the warm-up.

Medy Elito then grabbed an immediate equaliser for the home side during a frantic opening 15 minutes at Rodney Parade.

The visitors had started well and almost went ahead after nine minutes when Danny Hylton struck a post from a tight angle.

Bowery then put the visitors ahead after 13 minutes...
