Everton sign winger David Henen on three-year deal from Olympiakos

David Henen spent time on loan at the club last season.

Belgium youth international David Henen has signed for Everton on a permanent basis after spending last season at Goodison Park on loan.

ATHENS, Greece -- The chairman of Greek champions Olympiakos has been suspended from sporting activities and released on bail after testifying on Thursday in an investigation into alleged corruption in Greek football, putting at risk his side's Champions League spot.

ANKARA, Turkey -- Fenerbahce have hired former Porto and Olympiakos coach Vitor Pereira after losing the league title to rivals Galatasaray.

Fenebahce say they have signed the 46-year-old Portuguese coach to a two-year contract. He replaces Ismail Kartal, who resigned.

Olympiakos celebrate after winning their 27th Greek Cup trophy on Saturday.

ATHENS, Greece -- Olympiakos won the Greek Cup for a record 27th time by beating Xanthi 3-1 in the final in Athens' Olympic Stadium on Saturday.

It was also a record 17th double for Olympiakos, who won their 42nd league title.

Franco Jara, Alejandro Dominguez and Costas Fortounis scored for Olympiakos, while Pantelis Kapetanos netted Xanthi's consolation goal.

Greek Cup game suspended after fans invade pitch

Greek fans forced match officials to suspend Wednesday's match between AEK Athens and Olympiakos

A Greek Cup second-leg tie between AEK Athens and Olympiakos was suspended in the 90th minute on Wednesday after crowd trouble.

According to Reuters, groups of AEK fans stormed the pitch after Olympiakos took a 1-0 lead in the 89th minute, a goal which gave them the advantage in the tie.

Match officials and players of both teams immediately left the pitch before police moved in to confront the fans.

No decision has been made on whether the game will be resumed or abandoned.
