Struggling Wigan are likely to be without both Shaun MacDonald and Michael Jacobs against Nottingham Forest.

Midfielder MacDonald missed the midweek loss to QPR with what his manager Warren Joyce termed "a niggle", having come off against Preston three days earlier following a robust challenge.

Joyce does not expect either the Welshman or winger Jacobs (hamstring) to be ready to return as Latics look to move out of the bottom three.

The likes of Nick Powell (hamstring) Jakob Haugaard (elbow) and Craig...

Sheffield Wednesday maintained their play-off push with a fourth consecutive Sky Bet Championship victory as Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 at the City Ground.

This was Wednesday's fifth consecutive win over Forest, who paid the price for missed chances as goals from Almen Abdi and Fernando Forestieri either side of half-time put the visitors into a 2-0 lead.

Ross McCormack had failed to net from the spot when the score was still 0-0 and, despite Ben Osborn pulling one back for the Reds with half...

Fulham prepared for Sunday's high-profile FA Cup tie against Tottenham with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Tom Cairney and Lucas Piazon nudged Fulham ahead, after an early Pajtim Kasami effort, before Forest levelled just after the break through Ben Brereton.

But an own goal from Jack Hobbs in the 72nd minute gave the hosts all three points from the Sky Bet Championship clash.

Ross McCormack made his first start for the visitors since leaving Aston Villa for the City Ground last month,...

Norwich maintained their push for the SkyBet Championship play-offs as three goals in the space of eight first-half minutes inspired them to a thumping 5-1 home win over Nottingham Forest.

Jonny Howson's 10th-minute piledriver opened the floodgates at Carrow Road, with Josh Murphy quickly adding a second from a tight angle before Wes Hoolahan lobbed in a third from well outside the box.

The Canaries, who have now won six of their last seven home games, added two more goals in the second half, with...

Forest plan Ben Brereton stay amid Manchester United, Liverpool talk

Ben Brereton has made three Championship appearances for Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi has played down speculation linking young forward Ben Brereton with Manchester United and Liverpool.

Brereton, 17, had been linked with a move in the January window, and the rumours have intensified after he was brought into the first team by caretaker manager Gary Brazil, impressing on his first start in a 2-0 win over Rotherham on Jan. 31 before striking a late winner against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Forest have sold a number of academy graduates...
