Gary Rowett got his Birmingham revolution back on track and piled more pressure on opposite number Stuart Pearce as three goals in 10 first-half minutes helped them snatch a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The Blues manager tasted defeat for only the second time since returning to St Andrew's when they were hammered 4-0 by Derby on Boxing Day. But two goals from Clayton Donaldson and another from David Cotterill, all in a 10-minute spell prior to the interval, helped stretch Forest's...

Middlesbrough scored three times in the second half to record a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man Nottingham Forest in front of their biggest home crowd in five years at the Riverside.

An attendance of 32,277 turned out for this Boxing Day clash as the Teessiders bounced back from their defeat at Ipswich last week with an impressive display against Stuart Pearce's side, who have now gone five games without a win.

After a goalless first half, George Friend, Jelle Vossen and Grant Leadbitter all found...

Matty Fryatt had two goals ruled out in controversial fashion as Nottingham Forest were denied a Sky Bet Championship victory over Leeds at the City Ground.

The Reds striker had given Stuart Pearce's side the lead in first-half injury-time - but either side of that he had two efforts ruled out for offside, with television replays suggesting they should have stood.

And Neil Redfearn's side secured a 1-1 draw as former Forest player Billy Sharp netted emphatically from the spot in the 54th minute, after...

Nottingham Forest given £250k boost from fan, but can't spend it

Fear not, Nottingham Forest can put the money to use in loan wages.

Let's start with the good news, shall we? Nottingham Forest have won a 250,000 pound transfer fund to spend in January thanks to a competition run by Sky Sports.

Yay!

The bad news: This all comes the very day after Forest were hit, along with fellow Championship sides Blackburn and Leeds, with a transfer embargo from the Football League after failing to meet Financial Fair Play targets.

Boo!

Forest fan Shaun Lander earned the sizable cache for his beloved side by winning Sky Bet's Transfer Fund...

Loanee winger Emmanuel Ledesma came closest to breaking the deadlock before Rotherham United recorded a Championship goalless draw at home to Nottingham Forest.

Ledesma fired an effort from all of 30 yards onto the crossbar in a relatively poor game at the New York Stadium.

Rotherham almost took an early lead through a Forest mistake. Kelvin Wilson put a little bit too much onto a pass back to goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who made a mess of his kick, before eventually clearing away from the lurking Alex...
