Ross McCormack smashed a first-half hat-trick as Fulham sank Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Craven Cottage.

The Scottish striker took his goal tally for the season to 10 with three long-range strikes to crank the pressure back up on Forest boss Stuart Pearce.

The visitors threatened a comeback when Henri Lansbury scored either side of half-time, and would have dragged themselves level but for a glaring miss by top scorer Britt Assombalonga.

But Fulham held out for a victory which was a far cry from when...

Derby fan arrested after attack on Nottingham Forest player

Police subdued a fan after he confronted Forest defender Kelvin Wilson.

A Derby supporter has been arrested after running onto the pitch after Saturday's game against Nottingham Forest and making contact with a Forest player, police said.

The incident came at the end of the Championship match at the iPro stadium, which Forest won 2-1.

Witnesses saw a supporter run on after the final whistle and try to throw a punch at Forest defender Kelvin Wilson, before confronting a handful of other visiting players.

The fan, who ran on from a Derby section of the stadium and through...

Ben Osborn's stoppage-time winner against Derby could have given Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce a stay of execution.

Pearce, by his own admission, arrived at the iPro Stadium in a vulnerable position, having overseen just two wins in 20 matches. But victory against the Reds' fiercest rivals, on their own patch, to deny them top spot in the Sky Bet Championship, may have bought him some breathing space.

His position looked precarious at half-time as Derby led through a Henri Lansbury own goal....

Sheffield Wednesday triumphed 2-0 to claim their first win at the City Ground since 2001 and pile yet more pressure on beleaguered Nottingham Forest manager Stuart Pearce.

Owls boss Stuart Gray is close friends with Pearce and his assistant Steve Wigley, but he did them no favours as goals from Kieran Lee and Chris Maguire, either side of half time, earned the visitors a simple win.

With Forest now having won just two of their last 20 games in all competitions, Pearce is under increasing pressure,...

Nottingham Forest sign Gary Gardner on loan from Aston Villa

Gary Gardner has opted to move from Villa on loan.

Nottingham Forest have signed midfielder Gary Gardner on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season.

Gardner is reunited with Forest boss Stuart Pearce, who handed the 22-year-old five caps for England Under-21s during his time in charge.

He is the second signing Forest have made using their 250,000 pound Sky Bet Transfer Fund after also capturing Chelsea defender Todd Kane on loan from Chelsea this week.

Gardner has made just five first-team starts for Villa and has just returned from a...
