Ten-man Cardiff held on for a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest to ensure a frustrating end to the season for Dougie Freedman's side and ease some of the pressure on Bluebirds boss Russell Slade.

The Cardiff manager had come under fire for failing to deliver a promotion challenge with the Welsh club this season - but the former Notts County manager enjoyed his return to his hometown, as first half goals from Joe Ralls and Eoin Doyle put his side in control.

Nottingham Forest's Michail Antonio chased by Premier League clubs

Michail Antonio celebrates after scoring against Ipswich in January.

A host of Premier League clubs are weighing up moves for Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio when the transfer window reopens this summer, sources have told ESPNFC.

Antonio has been one of the stand-out performers in the Championship this season with 15 goals and 12 assists to his name for Forest.

It came as something of a surprise that Antonio missed out on selection for the PFA Championship team of the year following a string of stellar performances.

Freddie Sears scored a priceless 83rd-minute winner as Ipswich remained in the Sky Bet Championship play-off zone with an edgy 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.

The striker grabbed his ninth goal in Ipswich colours but his shot needed a wicked deflection off Michael Mancienne to beat Karl Darlow in the Forest goal.

With Ipswich's play-off hopes in their own hands going into their penultimate match, Daryl Murphy grabbed his 25th goal of the season in the 22nd minute after a neat lay-off from strike...

A Rudy Gestede hat-trick was not enough to give Blackburn three points as Nottingham Forest fought back three times to earn a 3-3 draw in the Sky Bet Championship.

Gestede's hat-trick of headers would have been enough but the visitors' stand-out player, Michail Antonio, sealed a brace of his own by equalising in the final two minutes.

Neither side could make the play-offs before the game but contributed to an entertaining afternoon that began with Gestede capitalising on a defensive error in the third...

Odion Ighalo celebrates opening the scoring for Watford on Wednesday evening.

Watford moved back into third spot and within a point of the top of the Championship by overcoming 10-man Nottingham Forest 3-1 at the City Ground.

Goals from Odion Ighalo and Matthew Connolly handed the Hornets a comfortable half-time lead, but the home side -- despite losing defender Kelvin Wilson to a red card -- produced a spirited fightback and clawed a goal back through Gary Gardner.

Michail Antonio missed a late sitter for the hosts, though, and Watford sealed victory when Almen Abdi added...
