Italian club excluded from league

Italian third division side Nocerina have been thrown out of the league as a consequence of their farcical derby match with Salernitana last November.

Having initially refused to play after being threatened by their fans, who had been banned from attending the local derby, Nocerina's players eventually forced the game to be abandoned.

Nocerina Ultras arrested for fan violence

A number of hardcore Ultra fans of Lega Pro Prima Divisione club Nocerina have been arrested in relation to incidents prior to the side's game against Perugia at the end of August.

Rival fan groups clashed outside the Stadio San Francesco in Nocera Inferiore on Aug. 30, with eight police officers being left injured as a result.

Four of the total 15 arrested are in police custody, while the remaining 11 are under house arrest.
