Nice and Reims played out a goalless Ligue 1 draw at the Allianz Riviera.

The result means that Reims are now six games unbeaten and they moved into the top half of the table, while Nice are one point and one spot further back in 10th.

Reims began the game strongly and after six minutes Nice goalkeeper Moez Hassen was called upon for the first time.

Antoine Deveaux's effort from the right was pushed away by the hosts' stopper before Nicolas De Preville saw his shot turned away for a corner on the follow...

Evian moved off the foot of the Ligue 1 table after ending a three-game losing run with a 1-0 victory over Nice.

The Thonon-les-Bains-based club had not scored during their recent bad slump but they moved out of the bottom three thanks to Daniel Wass' superb free-kick.

The Denmark international found the top corner in the 76th minute to condemn Nice to back-to-back defeats, following their loss to Lyon last week.

It was the home side who started brightly as some inventive play between Cedric Barbosa...

Lyon scored twice in the last 10 minutes to complete a come-from-behind 3-1 win away to Nice and move to within two points of the Ligue 1 summit.

After passing up a number of opportunities to take the lead, Lyon fell behind early in the second half to Gregoire Puel's strike but after Steed Malbranque levelled, Alexandre Lacazette scored twice late on to seal the win.

Following on from last weekend's victory over leaders Marseille, this is another big result for Les Gones as they seek to stay in the...

Nice's new five-goal hero Carlos Eduardo has Riquelme in his sights

Nice's Carlos Eduardo became the first player in Ligue 1 to score five goals in a game since 1984.

France have been waiting for it for more that 30 years.

1983-84 was a remarkable season in Ligue 1, with three players scoring five goals in single games. First it was Jean-Francois Beltramini who did it for Rouen versus Nancy, then Philippe Anziani netted five for Sochaux in a 8-2 win against Toulon on April Fools' Day, and just four weeks later the great Slovenian Toni Kurbos scored six goals for Metz in a 7-3 triumph at Nimes.

Carlos Eduardo scored five times as Nice moved up to seventh in Ligue 1 with a staggering 7-2 victory at rock-bottom Guingamp.

Claudio Beauvue headed Guingamp into an early lead but that was as good as it got for the hosts as Eduardo's first-half hat-trick and Alassane Plea's goal on the stroke of half-time put Nice in charge.

Eduardo bagged another two after the interval, while Eric Bautheac scored the away side's seventh shortly after Ronnie Schwartz had pulled one back for Guingamp, who were brought...
