Diego Fagundez scored just after halftime as the New England Revolution extended their unbeaten streak to five in Saturday's 1-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Fagundez struck in the 51st minute after taking a pass from Charlie Davies and dribbling along the area before uncorking a low drive that escaped the reach of goalkeeper Andre Blake.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Six years ago, the odds that an undrafted 22-year-old goalkeeper named Bobby Shuttleworth would stick around and carve out a career for himself with the Revolution were far from promising. Signed midway through the 2009 season, the University of Buffalo product was, for all intents and purposes, at the bottom of the pecking order. He was the third-string keeper on a team that boasted one of the best in the business in Matt Reis, and a future starter in Brad Knighton.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Ordinarily, a bye week is welcomed with open arms by MLS players and coaches alike, especially during the dog days of August. But when it comes only two weeks after another bye, it's a different story.

New England Revolution striker Charlie Davies admitted that, if given the choice, he'd rather be on the pitch this weekend.
