Hollinger-Janzen returns to Revs in trade with Minnesota for Shuttleworth

Bobby Shuttleworth will join Minnesota United FC after spending eight seasons with New England.

Forward Femi Hollinger-Janzen is returning to the New England Revolution after he was picked away from the club by Minnesota United FC in the 2017 expansion draft.

In exchange, Minnesota have acquired the rights to goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, who made 127 appearances for the Revs over the course eight seasons in New England.

Benjamin Angoua has joined up with New England on an initial loan.

The New England Revolution signed Benjamin Angoua on loan from Ligue 1 club Guingamp on Friday, the MLS team's second center-back acquisition in three days.

The Revs added Angoua on loan until the end of the season, when they will have the option to buy him permanently.

On Wednesday, New England signed Slovenia international Antonio Mlinar Delamea as they look to refurbish a backline that conceded 54 goals last season, the sixth most in the league.

The 2017 MLS SuperDraft concluded with the third and fourth rounds on Tuesday.

The first two rounds of the draft took place last week, with Minnesota United selecting forward Abu Danladi with the first pick.

The Colorado Rapids selected forward Jaime Siaj with the first pick of the third round, and his Pfeiffer University teammate Santi Moar went a round later to the Philadelphia Union.

Minnesota United took UCLA forward Abu Danladi with the first overall pick in Friday's MLS SuperDraft in Los Angeles. The 21-year-old Ghanaian, who moved to the United States in 2011, played three seasons with the Bruins after being named national player of the year at nearby Dunn High School in 2013-14.

Steve Neumann was selected fourth overall by the New England Revolution in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.

New England Revolution midfielder Steve Neumann announced his retirement on Thursday.

The Georgetown University graduate, who was the fourth overall pick of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, made 36 appearances over three seasons with the Revs, but just four of those came in 2016.

New England declined to pick up Neumann's option for the 2017 season, although the club was reportedly interested in retaining his services for next season.
