MELBOURNE, Australia -- Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has declined to confirm whether Gonzalo Higuain has had a medical with the Italian champions and refused to answer questions on Paul Pogba's potential move to Manchester United.

Sky Sport Italia has reported that Juve have agreed to meet the €94.7 million release clause in Napoli striker Higuain's contract and that the 28-year-old underwent a medical in Madrid on Friday.

Napoli's De Laurentiis hits out at FIGC after Giampiero Ventura appointment

Newly appointed Italy manager Giampiero Ventura highlighted how the Italian league is harming the product of the national team.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has questioned the Italian FA (FIGC) over its appointment of Giampiero Ventura as head coach.

Ventura was officially presented as the successor to Antonio Conte on Tuesday, but De Laurentiis does not approve.

ESPN FC's Paolo Bandini says that Gonzalo Higuaín's camp is not happy with the current situation at Napoli.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that he rejected a bid of €60 million "plus two or three players" from Atletico Madrid for striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Higuain, 28, has been the subject of interest from Juventus and Arsenal and has a €94m release clause in his contract. However, it is Atletico, who are looking for a new striker this summer, who made the first move.
