Kolbeinn Sigthorsson scored twice for Iceland at Euro 2016.

Iceland international striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson has said he is ready to stay at Nantes as he targets a better campaign in Ligue 1 this season.

Sigthorsson, 26, had a difficult first year in France and scored only three league goals in 26 matches.

But he netted twice in five games for his country at Euro 2016 in France, including the winning goal against England in the round of 16.

U.S. international midfielder Alejandro Bedoya has left Nantes to sign with Major League Soccer and will become a member of the Philadelphia Union.

The French club announced the deal on Wednesday and Union coach Jim Curtin confirmed the signing in a news conference later in the day.

The Philadelphia Union are in advanced negotiations to bring U.S. national team midfielder Alejandro Bedoya home to Major League Soccer, sources told ESPN.

The Union are aggressively trying to complete the acquisition of Bedoya from Nantes in France's Ligue 1 before the MLS transfer window shuts on Wednesday.

Sources told ESPN FC that Bedoya's move will include a one million transfer fee and a salary between $750,000 to $850,000.
