Nacional apologise for fans' Chapecoense airplane taunts

On August 7th, Chapecoense's Alan Ruschel played in his first game since the tragic plane crash in November 2016.

Nacional have apologised after some of their supporters were filmed making airplane gestures towards Chapecoense during a Copa Libertadores match on Wednesday.

A chartered plane carrying Chapecoense to the biggest match in the Brazilian football club's history crashed into a Colombian hillside and broke into pieces, killing 71 people and leaving six survivors in November 2016.

FC Dallas signs striker Cristian Colman as young designated player

Cristian Colman has moved to MLS with FC Dallas.

FC Dallas signed Paraguayan forward Cristian Colman to a young designated player contract on Thursday.

The 22-year-old joins the MLS club from Nacional, where he has scored 18 goals in 65 games since 2015.

Terms of the transfer were not disclosed. Goal.com reported earlier this month that Dallas paid the Paraguay club a $2 million fee to acquire Colman amid offers from such high-profile clubs as Mexico's Leon, Argentina's Lanus and Brazil's Sao Paulo and Gremio.

Nacional make Copa Libertadores final

Paraguay's Nacional FC booked their place in the Copa Libertadores final despite losing the second leg of their semi-final against Defensor Sporting 1-0 in Montevideo.

A 55th-minute strike by Adrian Luna saw Uruguayan side Sporting win the match, but Nacional's 2-0 first leg victory in Asuncion was enough to see them through to their first ever Copa Libertadores final appearance.
