Montpellier have confirmed that they have accepted an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for defensive midfielder Benjamin Stambouli.

Stambouli, 24, has just one year left to run on his contract at the Stade de la Mosson and is keen to take on a new challenge. Lucas Barrios joins Montpellier on loan

Barrios won the Bundesliga twice with Borussia Dortmund, scoring 39 goals in 83 appearances.

Montpellier have confirmed the signing of striker Lucas Barrios on a one-year loan deal from Spartak Moscow.

Barrios, 29, struggled to find form with the Russian club, scoring two goals in 16 appearances after signing from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande for seven million euros last summer.
