Millwall fans have Manchester City complaint upheld by Ombudsman

Millwall fans were denied entry into the Etihad stadium in December.

A group of Millwall supporters who were denied entry to a Manchester City home game last season have had their complaint against the Premier League club upheld by the Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO).

On Dec. 12, four Millwall fans who had travelled to the northwest to watch their team play at Oldham decided when that match was postponed to head to the Etihad Stadium to try to see City's clash with Swansea.

Millwall fans attempted to force their wanyinto the Barnsley end on Sunday.

Millwall fans caused ugly scenes at Wembley after Sunday's 3-1 League One playoff final loss to Barnsley, after having ruined the 2013 FA Cup semifinal when fighting broke out amongst themselves.

This time a number of them charged around the top tier attempting to force their way into the Barnsley end, while others appeared to lob coins at Tykes players.

Millwall will be at Wembley on Sunday for their League One Playoff against Barnsley.

Millwall boss Neil Harris does not want a repeat of the ugly scenes which ruined their last trip to Wembley.

The Lions reached the FA Cup semifinal in 2013 but their big day against Wigan was marred by fans fighting amongst themselves in the stands.

They head back to the national stadium on Sunday for the League One playoff final against Barnsley with Harris calling for a hostile -- but trouble-free -- atmosphere.
