Wembley Stadium sorry for Middlesbrough playoff tickets error

Middlesbrough face Norwich on May 25.

Officials at Wembley Stadium have apologised for spelling one of the Championship playoff finalists' name wrong on the tickets.

A misprint saw Middlesbrough spelt "Middlesborough," with an incorrect extra 'o' on tickets for their game against Norwich on Bank Holiday Monday.

The playoff match has often been described as sport's most lucrative one-off, considering the Premier League riches which go to the winner.

A Wembley Stadium spokesman apologised, saying: "It was a human error."
