PSG thrash Marseille in Le Classique; Depay scores brace as Lyon cruise

Marquinhos of PSG celebrates his goal with teammate Javier Pastore after scoring a goal in a win against Marseille.
Marquinhos got in on the action as PSG ran past Marseille at the Velodrome on Sunday.

Paris Saint-Germain moved into second place in Ligue 1 by thrashing Marseille 5-1 at Stade Velodrome.

Unai Emery's side climbed above Nice on goal difference and to within three points of leaders Monaco after a victory which again underlined their plentiful scoring options.

Marquinhos and Edinson Cavani -- with his 35th goal of the season -- put the Parisians in command at the break before Lucas Moura, substitute Julian Draxler and Blaise Matuidi wrapped up the easiest of Le Classique victories.

Lyon thumped Metz, 5-0, behind Memphis Depay's double and Alexandre Lacazette's 22nd Ligue 1 goal of the season.

From initial video replays, it seemed difficult to ascertain what Balotelli did wrong other than backing into Lorient defender Zargo Toure with his arms up as they challenged for a ball.
