Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat has admitted that it is becoming harder for A-League clubs to lure players to the league with the rise of other Asian competitions.

Emerging leagues in Southeast Asia, the runaway growth of the Chinese Super League and an upturn in finances in Europe are giving A-League coaches headaches as they look to build their squads for the season ahead.

Dybala, 22, scored 23 goals for Juventus in his first campaign for the club after signing from Palermo last summer.

In 2014, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini said the Argentina international will be a better player than Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

"He's a great player and it would be a pleasure to be like him but being myself is fine," he said.

Melbourne Victory rule out bid for ex-Socceroo goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts reflect on Lucas Neill's lasting impact on Australia and discuss the future of the former Socceroos captain.
Mark Schwarzer
43-year-old Mark Schwarzer has played for more than two decades in UK and Europe.

Melbourne Victory head coach Kevin Muscat says he won't try to sign Mark Schwarzer as the former Australia goalkeeper looks for a new club at the age of 43, after parting ways with English champions Leicester City.

But Muscat hasn't ruled out a bid for Schwarzer's former international teammate Brett Holman, a one-time midfielder at Aston Villa who played most recently with Emriates Club in the United Arab Emirates.

"No," Muscat replied on Melbourne radio station SEN when asked about the prospect...
