A-League Finals set to begin as Adelaide United play Brisbane Roar

As the A-League Finals Series gets underway, five teams have their sights firmly fixed on toppling newly-crowned Premiers Melbourne Victory. Kevin Muscat's side were worthy winners of the regular season title, finishing three points clear of second-placed Sydney FC atop the standings after 27 rounds, and with 56 goals for and 31 against, they had the best attack and defence.

However, each team will fancy their chances of upsetting the Victory, and each will have their own reasons for wanting to see...

Melbourne Victory beat Brisbane Roar 2-1 at Lang Park to move three points clear at the top of the A-League.

Carl Valeri and Besart Berisha scored in the 17th and 22nd minutes to put Victory in charge and, although Matt McKay pulled one back early in the second half, Brisbane rarely looked like getting an equaliser.
