MARSEILLE: UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Patrice Evra after the Marseille defender aimed a kick at the head of one of the French club's supporters.

Evra was sent off before his side's 1-0 Europa League loss to Guimaraes on Thursday after aiming a kick at a fan. 

MAN UNITED: Jose Mourinho told reporters in Madrid "the case is closed" after he paid a fee to settle accusations of tax fraud.

- Mourinho says he was "surprised" when he found out Chelsea had made Nemanja Matic available to buy in the summer.
