Norway international Magnus Wolff Eikrem is set to join the Seattle Sounders from Malmo.

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Sounders have signed Norwegian midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem after a mostly quiet offseason for the club.

Seattle announced the signing on Tuesday, with the deal being subject to Eikrem obtaining a U.S. work visa.

Eikrem spent the past three seasons with Malmo in Sweden's top division, winning league titles in the last seasons. Eikrem also played for the Netherlands' Heerenveen and played parts of two seasons for Cardiff.

Former Premier League player Dickson Etuhu has been questioned by police in Sweden about a conspiracy to fix a Swedish top-flight game in May, according to The Times and Swedish media.

Orlando City continued its playoff push by signing Peru international Yoshimar Yotun as a designated player on Thursday.

Vardar surprise Malmo to advance in Champions League qualifying

RIjeka are through to the next Champions League qualifying round.
Rijeka moved on after routing Welsh club The New Saints.

Vardar advanced to the Champions League third qualifying round by surprising Sweden's Malmo 3-1 on Tuesday to go through 4-2 on aggregate.

The Macedonian champions scored three unanswered goals in the second half from Boban Grncarov, Tigran Barseghyan and Boban Nikolov to see off Malmo, who reached the group stage two years ago.
