Zlatan Ibrahimovic has described Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League group stage draw with his hometown club Malmo as "the best that could happen."

Ibrahimovic, 33, started his professional career in 1999 when he made his senior debut with Malmo, the city in which he grew up, after coming through the club's youth ranks.

He has since played in the Netherlands, Spain and Italy before moving to PSG in 2012, but has kept close ties with the city where he grew up.

Former Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria is set for a friendly welcome when he returns to the Bernabeu with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Di Maria's current and former sides were drawn together at Thursday's ceremony in Monaco, into a Group A which also includes Shakhtar Donetsk and Malmo.

After a 3-2 loss at Celtic in the first leg, Swedish side Malmo FF come from behind to win 2-0 at home, ending Celtic's Champions League campaign for the season.

Ronny Deila claimed his Celtic side looked "frightened and scared" during the 2-0 defeat at Malmo which saw them knocked out of the Champions League 4-3 on aggregate.

Leading 3-2 from the first leg of their play-off clash in Glasgow, the visitors fell behind in the 23rd minute to a goal from Malmo skipper Markus Rosenberg who was banned for the first game.
