MANCHESTER - Manchester United have agreed a deal to sell Memphis Depay to Lyon in a transfer worth a potential €25m to the Premier League club, sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.
Depay, a £25m signing from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2015, will fly to France on Wednesday ahead of a medical on Thursday.
The Dutch winger has proven to be a huge disappointment at Old Trafford since United held off interest from Paris Saint-Germain to sign the 22-year-old.
Metz have said they will appeal against the French Football League's (LFP) decision to deduct two points after firecrackers were thrown onto the pitch near Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.
Lopes was left with serious but temporary hearing impairment after three firecrackers exploded near him having been thrown onto the pitch when Metz hosted Lyon on Dec. 3.

Lyon have held talks with Adnan Januzaj about a possible move to France but his future remains unclear, his agent has said.
