Hatem Ben Arfa hopes to reach level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo calms injury fears after he limped out of Real Madrid's training this week.

Hatem Ben Arfa believes he still has time to reach the same level as Barcelona and Real Madrid stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gerard Houllier enjoyed a successful stint with Lyon between 2005 and 2007.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Gerard Houllier is likely to return to the club as general manager.

Houllier, 68, was in charge of the French side for two seasons between 2005 and 2007, leading them to their sixth and seventh Ligue 1 titles in a row.

Aulas had wanted to appoint an experienced campaigner to help oversee the direction of both Lyon's men's and women's teams.

The move will only be completed, however, if Houllier gets the all clear from a heart specialist.

Arsene Wenger: Zlatan Ibrahimovic loss could hit Paris Saint-Germain

PSG's Blaise Matuidi is happy Zlatan scored in the Coupe de France final, his last game for the club

Arsene Wenger expects Lyon to provide Paris Saint-Germain with a sterner test in Ligue 1 next season without striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic playing for the French champions.

Ibrahimovic, 34, scored 38 league goals as Paris Saint-Germain clinched a fourth successive French title and finished with a massive 31-point advantage over second-placed Lyon.

The Sweden captain is leaving the French capital this summer, however, and Arsenal boss Wenger, 66, feels that Lyon could mount a title challenge next season.
