West Ham United are open to offers for striker Javier Hernandez during this month's transfer window, sources close to the club have confirmed to ESPN FC.

Hernandez only joined West Ham last summer in a £16 million deal from German side Bayer Leverkusen but has struggled to make the desired impact, scoring just four goals in 21 appearances.

Benny Feilhaber has left Sporting Kansas City to join Los Angeles FC in exchange for $400,000 in allocation money, the club announced on Wednesday.

The midfielder, capped 44 times by the United States, made 180 appearances in all competitions for SKC, picking up 33 goals and 56 assists in his time at Children's Mercy Park.

"Benny has enjoyed great success as an incredibly productive midfielder and has won multiple trophies here in MLS," LAFC general manager John Thorrington said in a statement.

LOS ANGELES -- Veteran MLS defender Jordan Harvey has signed with the expansion Los Angeles Football Club, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old Harvey is an Orange County native who played at UCLA before embarking on a 13-year MLS career with Vancouver, Philadelphia and Colorado. He scored one goal in 28 games with the Whitecaps last season, and he has 11 goals in 270 career MLS games.

NEW YORK -- Major League Soccer's expansion Los Angeles FC will play its first game on March 4 at Seattle and play its home opener at new Banc of California Stadium on April 29 against the Sounders.

MLS said Tuesday that the venues for D.C. United's first two home games will be announced later. Audi Field, the team's new home, is under construction. Portland's home opener is April 14 against Minnesota following renovations to Providence Park.

Mexico international Carlos Vela will bid farewell to Real Sociedad on Wednesday ahead of his move to Los Angeles FC in January, and he admits the occasion will be emotional.

Vela joined the Basque club in 2011 and the league clash against Sevilla in the Anoeta will be his last for Real Sociedad before heading to LAFC.

"It's not yet really dawned on me that it's the last game and last days with la Real," Vela said in an interview with Real Sociedad TV. "I think it will be emotional with all the memories...
