Borussia Dortmund sign Portugal's Raphael Guerreiro from Lorient

Raphael Guerreiro had been linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal before joining Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Portugal left-back Raphael Guerreiro from Lorient on a four-year contract.

Guerreiro, 22, is currently with the Portugal squad at Euro 2016 and played the full 90 minutes of Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Iceland.

"Raphael Guerreiro is a technically-skilled player who feels at home in several positions," sporting director Michael Zorc told the club's official website. "We are very happy that he has chosen Borussia Dortmund."

Liverpool and Dortmund in for Raphael Guerreiro - Lorient vice-president

Portugal international Raphael Guerreiro recently indicated that he is ready to move to a bigger club.

Lorient vice-president Alex Hayes has said that Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool are among the clubs that have made bids for their left-back Raphael Guerreiro.

Guerreiro, 22, scored three goals in 34 appearances this season and last month he admitted that it could now be time for him to switch to a bigger club
