Benjamin Moukandjo has played 43 times for his country and scored seven times.

Chinese Super League strugglers Jiangsu Suning have signed Cameroon international Benjamin Moukandjo from French side Lorient.

Moukandjo, 28, has signed a two-year contract to link up with former England, AC Milan and Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello.

The striker joins a club that already features Brazilian duo Ramires and Alex Teixeira as well as Colombia's Roger Martinez.

Lorient midfielder Sylvain Marveaux was arrested as part of a tax evasion probe.

PARIS -- Lorient midfielder Sylvain Marveaux was among four people briefly detained in France in an investigation into suspected tax evasion and money laundering in the transfer of football players between England and France.

A person with direct knowledge of the case told The Associated Press that Marveaux, a former Newcastle player, was arrested on Wednesday as raids were carried out in both countries.

French newspaper Le Parisien first reported the arrest of Marveaux.
