Mohamed Salah's record-breaking first season for Liverpool
LIVERPOOL, England -- Mohamed Salah's record-breaking 2017-18 season is showing no signs of slowing down.
As Salah keeps scoring, the records keep falling. ESPN FC has chronicled some of the records the Egypt international has broken and feats achieved during his memorable first season at Liverpool.
Salah breaks Liverpool's transfer record
Having very nearly joined Liverpool, instead of Chelsea, in the winter of 2014, Salah eventually arrived at Anfield last summer from Roma for an initial fee of £36.9 million, which was a club-record transfer fee at the time.
Scoring on his Premier League debut
Salah's goal at Vicarage Road on the opening day of the season led to him becoming the 12th different player to score on his Premier League debut for Liverpool.
Salah wins Liverpool's player of the month
Three goals in five appearances during his first month on Merseyside saw Liverpool fans vote Salah the club's best player for the month of August.
First Egyptian to score on UCL debut for two clubs
Having scored against Chelsea for Basel in 2013, Salah achieved this feat when he put past Sevilla at Anfield (qualifiers excluded).
Salah wins Liverpool's Player of the Month award again
Three goals in five appearances led to Salah picking up the club's award for a second time.
The second-quickest to score five Prem goals
Only Robbie Fowler had scored more goals than Salah in their first nine Premier League appearances for Liverpool after the latter's goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley. Fowler got to five goals in eight games; Salah and Dirk Kuyt reached the mark in their ninth.
Salah's penalty sends Egypt to World Cup
Salah had the pressure of a nation on his shoulders before he converted an injury-time spot kick to help Egypt beat Congo 2-1 to secure their place at Russia 2018, a first appearance at the finals since 1990.
Nine goals in his first 12 league games
Salah's second goal in a contest with Southampton at Anfield bettered Fowler's achievement of eight goals in his first 12 Premier League games back in 1993.
Ten goals in his opening 13 Prem games
Salah scored his 10th of the Premier League campaign in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea. No player has done that quicker in the Merseyside club's history, and it equalled a record held by Daniel Sturridge.
First Egyptian to win the Prem player of the month
Seven goals in four November matches saw him see off competition from Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Ashley Young and Eden Hazard for this award.
Club's Player of the Month again
Salah picked up this accolade for the third time within the space of four months.
Matches last season's goal tally at Roma
Salah's stunning, curling effort in the Merseyside derby on Dec. 10 was his 19th in 24 appearances in all competitions. (He had 19 goals in 41 appearances for Roma in 2016-17.)

He beats Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Victor Moses to the award.
Twenty goals before Christmas
Scoring in the 4-0 win at Bournemouth on Dec. 17, Salah becomes the first Premier League player to have scored 20 times in all competitions during the 2017-18 season. He was the first player to do it for Liverpool since Ian Rush in 1986.
Equals Roger Hunt's record
The forward's double against Leicester City now sees him share a record with World Cup-winner Hunt, who netted 23 goals in a season before New Year in the 1961-62 season.
Again club's player of the month
Dejan Lovren is the only other Liverpool player to have won the award by this stage of the season.

His form with Liverpool and on the international stage is recognised in a poll of around 100 sports journalists from several Arab countries.
African Player of the Year at CAF Awards

Fastest to 25 goals in over a decade
Salah's goal in the defeat to West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup brought up his quarter-century for the Reds. Only George Allan (1895-96) and Fred Pagnam (1914-15) have reached that figure quicker.

Salah's composed finish in the 5-0 win at Porto in a round-of-16 Champions League tie brought up goal No. 30 after just 36 appearances. Allan is the only other Liverpool player to better that.
Salah sets left-footed goals record
His goal against West Ham United was the 20th occasion in 2017-18 that Salah had scored in the Premier League with his left foot, surpassing Fowler's 19 left-footed strikes in 1994-95.
Prem player of the month a second time
His four Premier League goals and two assists in the month of February is recognised ahead of six other nominees, including Sergio Aguero and Chelsea's Hazard.
Club's player of the month a fifth time
