Leigh Griffiths was banned after tying a Celtic scarf in the goal against Linfield.

Leigh Griffiths has been suspended for the first leg of Celtic's Champions League third qualifying-round clash against Rosenborg after UEFA took action against the striker and the club.

Leigh Griffiths tied a Celtic scarf around the net in Belfast last week.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths faces further disciplinary action on top of his bizarre Belfast booking after being accused of "provoking" Linfield supporters.

UEFA has opened a case against Griffiths over his actions at the end of Celtic's 2-0 Champions League win at Windsor Park on Friday.

Linfield host Celtic in the first leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie.

Linfield have confirmed that Celtic will not take up their away ticket allocation for their Champions League qualifier at Windsor Park, which has been rescheduled to avoid security concerns.

The two sides will meet in the second qualifying round later this month after Northern Irish side Linfield eliminated La Fiorita of San Marino in the previous round on Tuesday.
