Lille sign Eder from Swansea City on permanent deal

Eder joined Lille on loan in February.

Portugal international Eder has made his move from Swansea to Lille permanent, signing a four-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.

Eder, 28, was allowed to join Lille on loan in February having made just two Premier League starts for the Swans after joining them from Braga in July for a reported £5 million. 

The striker was much more effective in France, scoring six goals and making four more in 13 league matches as his side climbed from 15th to fifth in Ligue 1 following his arrival.

Arsenal are tracking French forward Sehrou Guirassy, a source close to the Premier League club has told ESPN FC.

Lille attacker Guirassy has emerged on Arsenal's radar after impressing on loan at Ligue 2 side Auxerre in the second half of this season.

Guirassy, who can play on either wing or as a striker, has scored eight goals in 16 appearances for Auxerre.

Lille's Sofiane Boufal injury prompts calls for artificial pitch ban in Ligue 1

Sofiane Boufal's (right) injury did not come as a result of contact with another player.

The union representing French footballers has called for artificial surfaces to be banned immediately after Lille's Sofiane Boufal was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Boufal, 22, went off with a knee injury he picked up in the first half of Lille's 1-0 win at Lorient last weekend.
