Scunthorpe's teenage substitute Hakeeb Adelakun snatched a deserved point for his side with a stoppage-time goal in a 1-1 draw at Bradford.

There were fewer than two minutes of the four minutes of stoppage time West Midlands referee Philip Gibbs had added on when a long diagonal ball found Adelakun unmarked on the right and his angled shot sneaked in at the far post.

Bradford went in front after 32 minutes with a goal from defender Rory McArdle. Billy Clarke crossed for Filipe Morais, whose shot was...

Aaron McLean and Erhun Oztumer were on target as Peterborough secured a 2-1 win at Leyton Orient.

It proved a disappointing introduction to the English game for Orient's Italian manager Fabio Liverani, the club's fourth manager this season, while visiting boss Darren Ferguson was able to claim his first win in eight league games.

Posh had taken the lead after nine minutes when one-time O's striker McLean found himself unmarked and left with the simplest of chances to head home a cross from the left...

Fabio Liverani named as Leyton Orient boss after Mauro Milanese axed

Liverani faces the task of trying to steer Orient up the League One table.

Leyton Orient have named Fabio Liverani as their fourth manager of the season after sacking Mauro Milanese.

The League One club have turned to former Genoa coach Liverani after deciding to axe Milanese, who had been in charge for only 43 days and won two of his eight games at the helm.

Liverani, who has signed a two-and-a-half year deal, told the London club's official website: "I'm excited...

John Egan netted the winner 11 minutes from time as Gillingham put their poor league form to one side to reach the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern section final with a 1-0 defeat of Leyton Orient.

The 22-year-old powered a header past O's keeper Adam Legzdins following a pin-point corner from Michael Doughty as the Gills became the first team to advance out of the area semi-finals.

Gillingham, who have won just once in 11 in the league, started on the back foot with Dave Mooney having the first real...

Bradford ended a run of three home matches without a win with a deserved 3-1 victory over 10-man Leyton Orient.

Bradford dominated the first half and their pressure paid off three minutes before the interval with a goal from midfielder Billy Knott.

On-loan winger Andy Halliday flicked the ball into the path of Jon Stead and the tall striker played it across the face of goal for the unmarked Knott to side-foot it into the empty net.

Orient goalkeeper Adam Legzdins did well to keep out two shots from...
