Blackpool booked a play-off date with Luton after securing a 3-1 win over already-relegated Leyton Orient at Bloomfield Road, on a day dominated by pre-match protests.

The Seasiders made all the early running and got their reward after 11 minutes when Jack Payne's cross from the right was nodded into the far corner by Neil Danns from eight yards.

And their lead was doubled after 36 minutes by Mark Cullen, the forward picking up the ball from Jack Payne and driving to the edge of the area, where he...

Leyton Orient fans took the field for a sit-down protest during their team's home match with Colchester on Saturday.

Leyton Orient fans will have an allocation of 1,000 tickets for Saturday's League Two clash at Blackpool after an agreement was reached between both clubs and the English Football League.

Ticket sales had been temporarily suspended on Monday following a number of concerns raised by the Seasiders.

Leyton Orient fans forced Saturday's game with Colchester to be halted, with play resumed nearly two hours later.

The English Football League has supported a request from League Two side Blackpool to suspend ticket sales to Leyton Orient fans for Saturday's final game of the season at Bloomfield Road.

The protests lasted for more than an hour before the crowd were told the game had been abandoned and the stadium eventually...

Fans vent their frustrations as Leyton Orient face up to an uncertain future

Leyton Orient fans protest on the pitch toward club owner Francesco Becchetti.

LONDON -- First came the smoke bomb, lobbed into the Leyton Orient penalty area to release plumes of red smoke into the sky. Then came the supporters. Initially it was just a handful of young men, boisterous and exuberant. Then it was almost all of the home supporters, bound together by fury, united in defiance. They had nothing to lose because everything they had has already been taken.

They did not fear the docking of points because they've hardly got any. They did not fear retribution from the...

Leyton Orient game concluded after pitch invasion protest against owner

Leyton Orient fans invaded the pitch to protest against owner Francesco Becchetti.

Colchester beat relegated Leyton Orient 3-1 in bizarre circumstances, with the last five minutes of the League Two game played in front of an empty stadium after an earlier announcement that the game had been abandoned.

The visitors had been leading 3-1 at the Matchroom Stadium when, with 85 minutes gone, around 750 fans protesting against club owner Francesco Becchetti invaded the pitch.

The supporters staged a sit-down protest, calling for Becchetti to quit and forcing the referee to bring the...
