U.S.' Miguel Ibarra seals transfer to Club Leon from Minnesota United

Minnesota United FC opened the scoring early as Miguel Ibarra slotted home after only two minutes, but FC Edmonton would get back on track in the second half to secure a 2-2 draw.

United States international midfielder Miguel Ibarra has sealed a move to Club Leon from Minnesota United in the North American Soccer League.

Ibarra, 25, won the NASL Golden Ball last season and became the first player from the second division to earn a call-up to the U.S. since 2005.

He earned his first cap against on Honduras in October and also played in the Americans' win over Germany on Wednesday, but he was not included in the provisional squad for this summer's Gold Cup.

Club Leon goalkeeper William Yarbrough has been called up to the United States national team for upcoming friendlies against Denmark and Switzerland in Europe, the player confirmed in a press conference on Thursday.

The Mexico-born Yarbrough said he will accept the call to his parents' homeland, despite El Tri coach Miguel Herrera having previously indicated he was keeping an eye on the player's progress.
