Louis Moult's early penalty was enough to end a four-match losing run in the Ladbrokes Premiership for Motherwell and leave Kilmarnock stuck on the bottom of the table.

Moult picked himself up to slot home in the 13th minute and seal a 1-0 win after a tangle with Mark O'Hara led to a soft spot-kick award.

Moult had a goal disallowed and Dom Thomas impressed for Motherwell but there was a general shortage of goalmouth action at Fir Park.

Motherwell handed Kieran Kennedy a start in place of Louis Laing,...

Three goals in the final 20 minutes spared Kilmarnock further embarrassment as Gary Locke's side finally eased past Berwick in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.

Darren Lavery threatened to cause more misery for Locke following Kilmarnock's second 4-0 home defeat of the season when he cancelled out Kris Boyd's first-half penalty with a brilliant effort on 55 minutes.

But Rory McKenzie's deflected strike and a solo effort from Craig Slater turned the game back in Killie's favour before a sensational...

Kilmarnock were left still searching for their first win of the season as they slumped to a heavy 4-0 defeat at home to Ross County in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Hopes of a victory at Rugby Park were quickly snuffed out as their visitors netted two early goals through Liam Boyce and Jonathan Franks.

Boyce then struck again before Andrew Davies completed the haul in what was a blistering first half from the Highlanders.

Player-coach Lee McCulloch made his Kilmarnock debut, while Kris Boyd was drafted...

Kris Boyd scored a late leveller to earn Kilmarnock their second point of the season as they held Partick 2-2 at a packed Firhill.

Partick twice forged ahead, with Kris Doolan scoring both goals, but could not cling on to convert their leads into victory.

Rory McKenzie struck the first equaliser before veteran Boyd headed the 85th-minute goal that saw Kilmarnock take a share of the reward, having been playing with a man advantage for the previous 20 minutes after Liam Lindsay was dismissed.

Kallum Higginbotham scored a dramatic and cheeky late penalty as Kilmarnock came from behind twice to snatch a 2-2 draw against Celtic at Rugby Park.

Striker Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring before two minutes had elapsed and the Hoops should have had the game sewn up before the interval.

Instead, Ronny Deila's side went in level after Killie striker Josh Magennis equalised with the home side's first goal of the season, making up for an earlier shocking miss.
