After a winless 2017, Malaysia's new head coach Tan Cheng Hoe hopes to turn around his side's fortunes.
ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and Dez Corkhill discuss Kelantan's great escape from relegation and prospects for the 2018 season.

Former Kedah FA and Central Coast Mariners defender Zac Anderson has joined Malaysia Super League (MSL) side PKNS for the 2018 season.

The 26-year-old confirmed the move on his Instagram account, with the message, "To the PKNS Management, Coaches, Staff and Players. Thank you for your warm welcome. I am ready for this new challenge."

The Australian spent 2017 with Kedah, helping the club to a Charity Shield victory over MSL champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and playing his part in their FA Cup...

Tan Cheng Hoe says he can't turn Malaysia into cup kings Kedah

After a winless 2017, Malaysia's new head coach Tan Cheng Hoe hopes to turn around his side's fortunes.

There were some in Malaysia who felt that Tan Cheng Hoe should have been appointed national team head coach seven months ago before being installed as Nelo Vingada's assistant. Now, as Vingada returns to Portugal after seven games, six losses and zero wins, No. 2 has become No. 1.

Tan has served his time. In 2015, the 49-year-old took Kedah to promotion and the final of the Malaysia Cup. A year later, that trophy was heading north to Alor Setar. Just as impressive was a third place finish in the...

Kedah to appoint ex-assistant Ramon Marcote as coach for 2018

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey gives an inside look at the 2015 Malaysia Cup final as Selangor were crowned champions for the 33rd time.

Kedah are set to appoint Spain's Ramon 'Marco' Marcote as head coach of the Malaysia Super League (MSL) club for 2018.

It will be a return to Malaysia for Marcote, who was assistant coach to Tan Cheng Hoe with the Red Hawks in 2015. The Spaniard actually led the club to the Malaysia Cup final as caretaker boss that year, while the new Harimau Malaya head coach was on a training course in China.

He appeared at the prematch media conference at Shah Alam Stadium, alongside Selangor coach Mehmet Durakovic,...

Malaysia promote Tan Cheng Hoe to head coach in place of Nelo Vingada

Nelo Vingada is out as the Malaysian national team manager after losing six of his last seven matches.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) appointed Tan Cheng Hoe as the new head coach of the national team on Thursday, just a day after the resignation of Nelo Vingada.

The FAM wasted no time in naming the ex-Kedah boss as their replacement as they clearly felt promotion from within the ranks was the best option.

Tan is very familiar with the national team set-up, having served as assistant coach under K. Rajagobal from 2009 to 2013 and under Vingada since his appointment in May of this year.
