Atletico Madrid dream still burns for Bernard Mensah

Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah still harbours ambitions of becoming a key player for Atletico Madrid, despite failing to make his mark in three years at the club.

Mensah, considered one Ghana's most promising offensive midfielders, was signed by the Spanish giants from Vitoria Guimaraes in 2015 but is yet to play an official game for the side.

He has spent those three years on loan at various clubs with spells in Getafe, Guimaraes, Kasimpasa and, currently, Kayserispor, where he is enjoying his...

Asamoah Gyan plans for life after football with airline venture

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is set to add an airline to his ever-expanding business empire, and says that the decision is part of a broader plan to avoid the fate of many ex-footballers when he stops playing.

The Kayserispor forward and Black Stars skipper is set to add BabyJet Airlines to his portfolio, which includes a boxing promotion company, a food and beverages operation, and an events business. "From what I have seen in recent years, most retired footballers don't have much after football,"...

Landry N'Guemo reveals how he's been frozen out at Kayserispor

Cameroon midfielder Landry N'Guemo has revealed his difficult situation in Turkey, where he doesn't know why he has been deemed surplus to requirements at Kayserispor.

The former Bordeaux man joined the Anatolian Star from Akhisar Belediyespor on a two-and-a-half-year deal in January, having previously represented Celtic, Saint-Etienne and Nancy.

However, in a recent interview with Foot Mercato, the 31-year-old has shed light on how he has been ostracised from the first team and made to train away...

Asamoah Gyan steals the show during Kayserispor preseason

Asamoah Gyan has wasted little time in reaffirming his quality at new club Kayserispor after signing for the Turkish side earlier this month.

The Ghana international returned to Europe after five years spent in the United Arab Emirates and China.

When Kayerispor, who finished 15th in the Turkish top flight last season, confirmed the deal for the 31-year-old, it looked as though they'd pulled off a coup, and Gyan's form in friendlies has done much to enforce this notion.

The former Sunderland man...

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan completes Kayserispor switch

Asamoah Gyan has completed a move to Kayserispor, joining the Super Lig outfit on a two-year deal from Shanghai SIPG.

Gyan had previously been linked to another Turkish side -- Bursaspor -- but Kayserispor confirmed the deal on their official website on Wednesday in a signing that represents a significant coup for the Anatolian Star.

According to a club statement, Gyan also has an option of a one-year extension with the Super Lig outfit, who finished 14th in the Turkish top flight last term,...
