Premier League flop Lee Dong-Gook, 38, dreams of 2018 World Cup

Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts evaluate Malaysia's upcoming fixture versus North Korea which will be played on neutral soil.

From Premier League flop to South Korean record-breaker, the career of Lee Dong-Gook has reached such lows and highs that it deserves its own ride at the Everland theme park, just south of Seoul.

A legend in Asia and freshly crowned 2017 K-League champion, the man known as the Lion King due to an early hairstyle, never rebuilt his reputation in England after a disappointing spell in the top flight with Middlesbrough.

The order was issued on Friday, four days before playoff matches involving another Korean club who replaced Jeonbuk Motors.

The AFC says "it is the utmost priority for the AFC to protect...

The South Korean club defeated Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates in November to take a second continental crown but has been ejected from the 2017 competition after a club scout was found guilty of bribing referees in 2014.

The decision was taken by the Entry Control Body, a committee independent of the Asian Football Confederation...

Lee Ho of Muang Thong United
Lee Ho, left, played in the 2006 World Cup and has appeared in the Europa League for Zenit St Petersburg.

Thai champions Muang Thong United have stepped up preparations for this year's AFC Champions League (ACL) campaign by signing veteran South Korean midfielder Lee Ho from Asian champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

Lee's experience could prove invaluable as the Kirins get set to take on Japanese champions Kashima Antlers, and two other teams, when they return to the ACL group stage for the first time since 2013. And the former South Korean international will be hoping to relaunch a career that has stalled...

Jeonbuk Motors have been drawn into Group H for the 2017 AFC Champions League tournament.

A-League giants Adelaide United face a tough road to the 2017 AFC Champions League knockout stages after being placed in Group H where they will come up against reigning champions Jeonbuk Motors of South Korea.
