Wolfsburg sign Brazilian right-back William to replace Ricardo Rodriguez

William joins Wolfsburg from Brazilian club Internacional.

Wolfsburg have confirmed the signing of Internacional right-back William on a five-year-deal.

William, 22, joins the Bundesliga side as they try to strengthen their backline after losing AC Milan-bound left-back Ricardo Rodriguez.

Wolfsburg are transferring €5m to Porto Alegre for the Brazilian, who was part of the team that won an Olympic gold medal in 2016.

Alisson was Brazil's first-choice keeper at the Copa America Centenario this summer.

Roma have announced the signing of Brazil international goalkeeper Alisson.

The 23-year-old keeper has signed a five-year deal with the Serie A club after being bought from Brazilian club Internacional for €8 million.

Alisson, who will compete with Wojciech Szczesny for the No. 1 goalkeeper role, was Brazil's first-choice keeper at this summer's Copa America Centenario, at which Brazil crashed out in the group stage.

Chelsea have an option to sign Alexandre Pato to a four-year contract this summer, the Brazilian striker's agent has said.

Pato joined Chelsea at the end of January on a six-month loan deal from Corinthians, but arrived at Stamford Bridge well short of match fitness and was placed on a "preseason" regime of double sessions at Cobham by interim manager Guus Hiddink.

Having waited 64 days to make his Chelsea debut, Pato marked the occasion by winning and scoring a penalty in a 4-0 rout of Aston Villa...

Former Brazil international Rivaldo says he hopes his son Rivaldinho will follow in his footsteps by playing for a club in Serie A and revealed he has already turned down an offer from a third-division club in Italy.

Rivaldo, 44, spent two seasons at AC Milan but would be happy to see his son sign for any of Serie A's biggest clubs.

Porto's Juan Quintero could end Rennes loan, join Internacional

Juan Quintero has not been able to make an impact on loan at Rennes.

Porto's Colombian midfielder Juan Quintero could be set to end his loan spell at Rennes and join Brazilian side Internacional, according to the French club's coach.

Quintero, 23, was loaned out by Porto for the season but he has made only 12 appearances in Ligue 1 since linking up with Rennes.

The attacking midfielder is currently trying to help Colombia qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics at the expense of the United States.
