Peru's Paolo Guerrero blocked from playing by federal judge

ZURICH -- Peru captain Paolo Guerrero, who was cleared to play at the World Cup by Switzerland's supreme court, has again been blocked from playing because a federal judge ended the freeze on his 14-month doping ban.

The Swiss Federal Tribunal has lifted "the provisional suspensive effect" that allowed Guerrero to play in Russia, FIFA said Thursday.

The decision means the 34-year-old Guerrero will not be allowed to resume playing with his new club in Brazil, Internacional, pending a further decision...

Peru striker Paolo Guerrero leaves Flamengo for Internacional

SAO PAULO -- Peru striker Paolo Guerrero has signed a three-year deal with Internacional, the Brazilian club said on Sunday.

Guerrero, who captained Peru in their qualification campaign for the Russia World Cup, joined the Porto Alegre side after three years with Flamengo.

The 34-year old, whose former clubs also include Bayern Munich, Hamburg and Corinthians, missed much of this year after testing positive for a cocaine byproduct.

LAFC acquired the MLS rights to the 31-year-old Silva on Friday by sending a fourth-round pick in next year's draft to the New York Red Bulls.

Former Manchester United midfielder Anderson has completed a move to Adana Demirspor, the Turkish second-tier club have confirmed.

Anderson, who won the Champions League as well as four Premier League titles while at Old Trafford, had been without a club since January when he left Internacional following a three-year spell. He spent part of 2017 on loan at Coritiba, and now joins Demirspor, who narrowly avoided relegation to the Turkish third tier last season.
