DC United beat RSL on record day for goals; NYCFC lose in Lampard's debut

DC United became the first team in MLS history to come back from two goals down in back to back games as they outlasted RSL in a 10-goal thriller.

Perry Kitchen broke a 4-4 tie in the 79th minute and DC United beat Real Salt Lake 6-4.

The 10 goals fell one short of the MLS single-game record.

Kitchen's header, off of a long service from Taylor Kemp, beat Jeff Attinella for the difference-maker. Nick Deleon's left-footed blast from way outside provided insurance six minutes later.

The teams combined for seven goals in the second half, one short of the record for most goals in a half.

Real Salt Lake jumped ahead 2-0 on goals by Joao Plata and...

Houston Dynamo rout LA Galaxy as Toronto FC rallies from three down

First half goals from Will Bruin and Brad Davis paved the way for the Houston Dynamo in their 3-0 win over the LA Galaxy.

Brad Davis had a goal and an assist in the first half, helping the Houston Dynamo beat the LA Galaxy 3-0 on Saturday night.

The Dynamo took control in the ninth minute when Will Bruin settled Davis' diagonal cross and smashed home a left-footer. Davis then added a long-range strike from behind the top of the circle in the 27th minute.

Leonel Miranda capped the scoring in the 88th minute, juking two Galaxy defenders and finishing with a chip shot.

The Galaxy entered the match in second place in the...

The ESPN FC panel assert that no coach should be fired after one result, and note that the United States men's national team should stick with Jugen Klinsmann following his side's exit from the Gold Cup.
Anthony Richardson joins former professional footballer turned current pundit Ian Fiveankles in 'The America' for the Gold Cup final.

CHESTER, Pa. -- U.S. veteran DaMarcus Beasley expects to play his final match with the national team on Saturday against Panama.

Manager Jurgen Klinsmann, who called Beasley out of international retirement earlier this month to join the U.S. squad at the ongoing CONCACAF Gold Cup, said the 33-year-old would play in the second half of the third-place match at PPL Park in suburban Philadelphia.

"It looks like it comes to an end tomorrow if he doesn't reconsider," Klinsmann said of Beasley -- who would...
